This is a series of photographs that look toward queer-safe, neutral, and historically queer-unsafe spaces. As I created and printed this work I discovered there were few signifiers in the spaces that I was photographing that screamed "SAFE," "UNSAFE," or "NEUTRAL." This is a strength that forces me to reevaluate my process of looking, evaluating, and making presumptions about the photographs that I was making and the spaces that I am interacting with in life. This is the same sensation I try and elicit from a viewer. The lines are blurred, there are no lines.
